Up to 90% of children in Guatemala never finish and graduate school. The big reason being that the children live in rural villages, where transportation is not available.

The Global Giving Project is partnering with Hope of Life International to build a long-lasting school building in a rural village in Guatemala.

It was August 2025, that awkward time between summer and fall, a break and the school year. As Sophie Andreas searched and scrolled looking for ways to upgrade her highschool resume, she stumbled upon a “nonprofit” idea. Sophie has always had a passion for helping others, growing up volunteering in a food bank.
